Onyeka Nwabunnia

Research Officer

Onyeka Nwabunnia is a Research and Administration Officer at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development, with experience working in the non-profit sector focused on social policy, gender, and international development.

Onyeka holds a master’s degree in Gender Studies and Law from SOAS University London, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and African Studies from Colgate University, USA.

Onyeka comes to EJS Center from the Brookings Institution’s Center for Universal Education, where she worked as a Project Coordinator with the Early Childhood Development (ECD) and International Development Finance team. In addition to this, Onyeka currently volunteers with the Cleopatra Broh foundation, a Liberia-based organization providing access to education and sexual health resources to adolescent mothers.
